Pride In Who Are and Who We Can Become

Our mission is to inspire, empower and connect young men to uplift their future and promote O-Pride.

“Ensuring that our young people can go as far as their dreams and hard work will take them is the single most important task that we have as a nation. It is the single most important thing we can do for our country’s future.”

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA,MY BROTHER’S KEEPER SUMMIT, DECEMBER 14, 2016

President Obama launched the My Brother’s Keeper initiative to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and ensure that all young people can reach their full potential.

Through this initiative, the Administration is joining with cities and towns, businesses, and foundations who are taking important steps to connect young people to mentoring, support networks, and the skills they need to find a good job or go to college and work their way into the middle class.

Ossining MBK Launch

In 2017, the Ossining Union Free School District (OUFSD) joined in this important work by becoming an MBK Community. The goals of the OMBK initiative are many; some include working to ensure equitable access to opportunities, improving outcomes and graduation rates, and providing support through mentoring of our young men and boys of color here in Ossining.

On December 13, 2018, dozens of families attended the kickoff event at AMD Middle School. It was a great success with 63 students in attendance.
